Uxbridge police are investigating after headstones in a town cemetery were found destroyed on Monday.

The Old Richardson Cemetery on Douglas Pike, which was the scene of a man-made brush fire earlier this month, has now been tied to another suspicious incident as headstones were found knocked over and broken into pieces, Fox25 reported.

Officials have said that the damage could have been done as early as last summer, WHDH reported, adding that the cemetery committee indicated that the damage is fixable but will require help from donations.

Anyone with information should call the Uxbridge police at 508-278-7755.
