Meet the Easter Bunny

At Aragosta Bar + Bistro on the waterfront in the North End, the Easter Bunny is on hand during the brunch buffet, which includes a special children’s selection, and a Bloody Mary or Mimosa for adults. The busy Easter Bunny is at Brasserie JO, too, and there’s an Easter egg hunt at noon. The brunch buffet includes carving, omelet and cupcake stations, and patisserie such as white chocolate scones, and ricotta and cream cheese Blintzes with bananas Foster sauce. The big white rabbit appears at Bastille Kitchen’s brunch, where there’s an Easter egg hunt and homemade Peeps, too. The a la carte menu boasts buttery bacon-pecan caramel French toast; quiche Lorraine with North Country bacon, leeks, and Gruyere; and duck confit omelet with truffle marrow butter and endive salad. Sophisticated (no sweatpants!) Easter brunch

In Harvard Square, Parsnip Restaurant and Lounge’s three-course prix fixe includes sole with wilted spinach, ginger, and scallop butter sauce; gnocchi with pecorino cheese and truffles; and Cornish hen with wild mushrooms, pearl onions, and pancetta. Bar Boulud’s prix fixe includes roasted leg of lamb with fava beans, ricotta cavatelli with pancetta, and the signature Gateau Basque, a traditional Basque custard cake with brandied cherries and creme Anglaise. In the Back Bay, Bistro du Midi’s three-course prix fixe includes citrus cured salmon Benedict, seared cod with spring peas and pecorino emulsion, and carrot cake with honeycomb and blueberry lavender ice cream. Add a new spring sparkling cocktail like the Strawberry Fields -- Crème à la Fraise des Bois, gin, lemon juice, and basil. Late risers club 

Precinct’s all-day Easter brunch includes hors d'oeuvres and dessert buffets, and an entrée of your choice. There’s sage roasted chicken with brioche-raisin stuffing, rosemary-mustard leg of lamb with Cabernet-garlic jus, or pan seared Acadian red fish with lemon, fennel and tomato relish. Doretta’s Greek influenced, family style prix fixe brunch is served on Easter Sunday and Greek Easter Sunday, too (May 1). Brunch in the ‘burbs

In Newton, Lumiere opens its doors especially for an a la carte Easter[tab]Brunch with choices like lobster omelet with black truffles and pea tendrils; French toast with Chantilly crème fraîche and apricot compote; and zesty Gloucester haddock with watercress, grapefruit, and roasted fennel. Chopps American Bar and Grill, a hidden gem in the Burlington Marriott, is going all out with a brunch buffet in the recently renovated Grand Ballroom. Breakfast favorites like Eggs Benedict , waffles with fresh fruit or chocolate, and build-your-own frittatas are paired with carvery specials like brown sugar brûléed Maine ham served with pineapple chutney, and sea salt roasted Pineland Farms strip loin au poivre with horseradish cream and chimichurri.
