When a celebrity makes a controversial comment and then gets attacked on social media, most freak out and apologize. Not so with Stacey Dash, who recently said BET should eliminate Black History Month.
The actress wrote a new post on her blog titled "Twitter Haters, When Do I Get My Apology For Agreeing With Morgan Freeman About #BlackHistoryMonth" referring to Freeman's statement about not wanting a Black History Month because black history is American history. This comes after another blog post called "How BET Lies To Black People." Well, she really knows how to write a headline, huh?
Stirring the pot is Gabrielle Union who told the following to the Associated Press: "If you don't see yourself reflected in mainstream awards, you tend to create your own. Until there is no longer a need for that, I celebrate the ALMAs, the same way I celebrate the Country Music Awards, and the same way I celebrate the BET Awards and the Image Awards, which we’ll all be at in a couple of weeks. The more that we focus on inclusion and a true representation of this country, I think that crazy lady will have less to say."
Well. Now we know how she feels about that.
