Two unrelated stabbings in the Bronx have left two men dead as police continue to investigate both homicides.
Just after 7 p.m. on Wednesday night, police arrived near the corner of Bedford Park Boulevard and Decatur Avenue where they found Daniel Pena, 23, with at least two stab wounds in his torso, the NYPD reported.
Authorities told the New York Daily News that Pena, with only a short time left to live, refused to tell police who had stabbed him.
Pena, whom police believe was stabbed in the courtyard of the building at 2953 Decatur Ave., was taken to Saint Barnabus Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Around 10:30 p.m., police responded to another report of a stabbing victim in the Bronx, authorities stated.
At 1521 Sheridan Ave., Willie Lopez, 32, was found in a sixth floor hallway on the floor with a stab wound in his chest, according to police.
Lopez was later pronounced dead at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, officials added. There were no arrests in either stabbing, and police are still investigating both incidents.
