A truck driver died near the Hunts Point Produce Market in the South Bronx on Sunday morning, police said.

Authorities confirmed that Hussain Abbas, 63, was killed at around 8 a.m. when he got out of his truck and was suddenly hit by a second oncoming truck.

NYPD said paramedics rushed Abbas to the nearby Lincoln Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Investigators said there doesn't appear to be any criminality to the accident, and no arrests have been made.

The second driver — who police did not identify — passed a breathalyzer test, officers said Sunday afternoon.

The market has more than 1,200 workers, and some 15,000 trucks travel through the Hunts Point Food Distribution Center every day
