A woman is dead and another is injured following a shooting in Far Rockway, Queens Wednesday morning, police said.

Shortly before 11 a.m. cops responded to a call of a shooting at 333 Beach 32nd St.

"Upon arrival, officers discovered in the lobby of the location a 51-year-old female with a gunshot to the hand," cops detailed, "and in an apartment of the location, a 36-year-old female was discovered with a gunshot wound to the torso," police said.

Paramedics pronounced the younger woman dead on the scene and transported the 51-year-old woman to St. John's Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.

Police are currently searching for 29-year-old Tyquan Long in connection with the incident. 

NBC New York reported that authorities believe Long is the estranged boyfriend of the 36-year-old victim.
