The UFC debut of CM Punk had better last more than 20 seconds, because it's been 733 days since we last saw him in any sort of ring - squared, caged or circled.

The public is getting impatient.

Punk is penciled in to fight in his first official UFC match in early June 2016 at UFC 199.

"The CM Punk fight is probably going to be in June," White told Boston's 98.5 FM The Sports Hub in January. "UFC 199 is what I'm thinking."

Punk will likely face 23-year-old New Jersey welterweight Mickey Gall (1-0), who more or less challenged Punk. But it would be quick-turnaround for Gall, who is fighting Michael Jackson (the MMA fighter ;)) on Feb. 6, 2016 at UFC 196.

As for the most popular fighter in the sport of MMA, Ronda Rousey is on an extended break as she'll be busy making the "Road House" remake later this year (filming schedule not yet announced) and will be working on the STX action pic "Mile 22" in February 2016. It's entirely possible that a Rousey - Holly Holm rematch wouldn't take place until 2017.

Ironically, Rousey may appear in a WWE ring before either her or Punk perform in a UFC ring next. Rousey appeared at last year's WrestleMania and WWE teased Rousey possibly working a storyline involving The Rock, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. The Rock and Triple H are both active in current WWE storylines as we enter "WrestleMania" season.
