10 key elements to the Game of Thrones season 7 finale

The Night King in Game Of Thrones

Warning: There are huge SPOILES for every episode of Game Of Thrones’s seventh season ahead.

HBO has shared some tantalizing tidbits with Metro for the Game of Thrones season 7 finale, which will see its vast array of characters coming together for what promises to be an explosive episode. Here’s what you can expect.

Dragonpit

The Game of Thrones season 7 finale episode name has now been revealed as The Dragon And The Wolf. Even before this announcement many were referring to it as Dragonpit, which is a huge structure in King’s Landing that house Targaryen once used as a giant stable for its dragons. This is where the encounter between Cersei Lannister and Daenerys takes place.

The Meeting

Each of the Dragonpit attendees has their own agenda. For Cersei, it’s getting Daenerys to cease her claim to the Iron Throne and for Jon Snow to declare his loyalty and yield his crown as King of the North. But Dany and Jon seek to achieve the union of the armies to defeat the Night King.

Wights

This is the name given to the zombies created by the Night King. Jon and Daenerys have captured one to prove their existence and with it, achieve the union of the armies.

Jaime Lannister and Bronn

During the Game of Thrones season 7 finale trailer, we see the Lannister army awaiting the arrival of the Unsullied and the Dothrakis, who apparently come to recover Highgarden, territory taken from the Tyrell’s.

Sansa and Arya

The tension between the sisters has grown exponentially, and they are now two massively different people. Their perspectives are countered and this could lead to a deeper division of the family.

Viserion

In addition to its height, the Wall also has magical powers. But now that the Night King has Viserion the dragon among his ranks, it is likely that the Night Army will be able to cross it for the very first time and invade Winterfell.

The Wall

Last season, Benjen Stark explained the rules that protect the Wall: “The wall is not just ice and stone,” he told Bran and Meera. “Ancient spells were carved from its foundation. Strong magic. To protect men from what is beyond. And as long as it stands, death cannot pass through it. “

Euron Greyjoy

He was appointed by Cersei as commander of the naval forces after he delivered Ellaria, Tyene and Yara Greyjoy to her and burnt Daenerys’ fleet.

Sam Tarly

Back in episode 5, Samwell, accompanied by Gilly and their son, set off to Winterfell to reveal how to defeat the Night Army, information that he had gathered from the Citadel. Let’s not forget that during this discovery Gilly also learned a very valuable secret about Rhaegar Targaryen.

What Kills White Walkers?

So far, it has been known that Valyrian steel and dragon-glass are the only elements capable of eliminating the White Walkers. We also discover during the penultimate episode that when killing a White Walker, the Wights that he has converted are also destroyed.
