Plan ahead: Here’s a look at the T’s Thanksgiving week schedule

Hard rain, bad wiring and good Samaritans cause day of woe for T service

Thanksgiving is one of the most traveled holidays in America, and that means that the T has all kinds of changes planned. The schedules may be a little confusing, and that is before the riders flood the platforms and bus stops between Wednesday and Friday.

“With the exception of Silver Line service to Logan Airport, ridership across all MBTA modes is light to moderate during the annual Thanksgiving period,” MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo said in a statement. “Extra service is added to the Silver Line to accommodate customers traveling to/from the airport.”

That said, don’t be a turkey: Plan your travels accordingly.

To accommodate customers traveling to and from Logan Airport, the Silver Line 1 will add additional service through Monday, Nov. 30.

SUBWAY LINES

The Red Line, Orange Line, Blue Line, and Green Line B-, C-, D-, and E-Branches will operate on a regular weekday schedule.The Silver Line 1: To ensure prompt and convenient service to and from Logan Airport, the Silver Line will operate a modified weekday schedule with additional service during peak travel periods. The Silver Line 2, 4, and 5 will operate regular weekday service on Wednesday.

The Red Line, Orange Line, Blue Line, and Green Line B-, C-, D-, and E-Branches, and Silver Line will operate a Sunday schedule.Customers should also note that the CharlieCard Store located adjacent to the Red and Orange Lines at Downtown Crossing Station is closed on Thanksgiving Day.

The Red Line, Orange Line, and Blue Line will operate a regular Friday schedule.The Green Line B-, C-, D-, and E-Branches will operate a Saturday schedule.The Silver Line 1 will operate a modified Friday schedule with additional service. The Silver Line 2, 4, and 5 will operate on regular Friday schedule.

COMMUTER RAILS

All Commuter Rail Lines will operate a regular weekday schedule on Wednesday.The Fairmount Line,The Fitchburg Line,The Framingham/Worcester Line,The Franklin Line,The Greenbush Line,The Haverhill Line,The Kingston/Plymouth Line,The Lowell Line,The Middleborough/Lakeville Line, The Newburyport/Rockport Line, and The Providence/Stoughton Line will each operate a Sunday schedule on Thursday.The Needham Line will not run at all.Commuter Rail Lines will operate a regular weekday schedule on Friday.

BUSES

Buses and trackless trolleys will operate a regular weekday schedule on Wednesday.

Buses and trackless trolleys will operate a Sunday schedule, which means the following routes will not run on Thursday: CT1,CT2,CT3,4,5,7,14,18,19,29,33,37,38,51,52,62,65,67,68,70A,74,76,77A,79,84,85,92,114,121,131,132,170,210,212,217,221,245,325,326,351,352,354,411,424,424W,426,428,430, 434,436,439, 448,449,430,456,459,465,501,502, 503, 504,505,553,554,556,558.

Buses and trackless trolleys will operate a regular weekday schedule on Friday.

BOATS

Hingham Service (Hingham Shipyard – Rowes Wharf) will operate a modified weekday schedule.Hull Service (Hingham, Hull – Long Wharf, Boston via Logan Airport) will operate a modified weekday schedule with service changes and additions.Charlestown Service (Long Wharf – Charlestown Navy Yard) will operate a regular weekday schedule on Wednesday.

Hingham Service (Hingham Shipyard – Rowes Wharf), Hull Service (Hingham, Hull – Long Wharf, Boston via Logan Airport) and Charlestown Service (Long Wharf – Charlestown Navy Yard) will not operate on Thursday.

Hingham Service (Hingham Shipyard – Rowes Wharf), Hull Service (Hingham, Hull – Long Wharf, Boston via Logan Airport), and Charlestown Service (Long Wharf – Charlestown Navy Yard) will operate on a regular weekday schedule on Friday.

THE RIDE

The RIDE will operate a regular weekday schedule on Wednesday and Friday.The RIDE will operate a Sunday schedule on Thursday.
