Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down suspects involved in the assault of a woman during the 2016 St. Patrick’s Day Parade in South Boston, cops said Thursday.

The victim said she was assaulted by a group of teenage boys as she walked with her friends through a park near D and Gold streets, police said. The victim “unknowingly became involved in an ongoing argument,” police said, and was attacked by the boys between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. She suffered non-life threatening injuries, and didn’t report the attack until weeks later — on April 9.

The victim, her family, and detectives are appealing to the public, asking anyone who may have witnessed the assault to provide information, police said. Anyone with any information is asked to call District C-6 detectives directly at 617-343-4742.
