Eddie Redmayne takes British humility too far

Eddie Redmayne is currently nominated for an Oscar for “The Danish Girl,” but is he about to suggest he might win for Best Actor two years in a row? Of course not!

“[Leonardo DiCaprio is] definitely going to win — and should,” Redmayne tells the Telegraph’s magazine. “I feel excited just to be invited to the party, frankly. For me to be considered in the group of nominees, with [Matt] Damon, DiCaprio, Michael Fassbender and Bryan Cranston — it feels amazing.”

OK, fine, we get it, Eddie. You’re so modest. Stop bragging about how modest you are. But yes, this is totally DiCaprio’s year.
