The Hollywood Reporter finally has some scoop on the Paul Feig-helmed"Ghostbusters" reboot, and there will be some familiar faces in it. Melissa McCarthy has officially signed on, while Kristen Wiig is negotiating the deals of her contract, as are "Saturday Night Live" stars Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. While rumors swirled about who would end up in it (Tina Fey! Amy Poehler! Maya Rudolph! Meryl Streep! Maybe not that last one), McCarthy and Wiig almost seemed like sure bets, given their participation in "Bridesmaids," which was also directed by Feig.
McKinnon and Jones are the more surprising cast members, given that neither has had a high profile film role yet. But it's safe to say that they've been among the more successful of the newer "SNL" cast members, and Jones was in the Chris Rock hit "Top Five."
The Hollywood Reporter also says the film is looking to film in New York this summer, so New Yorkers, keep your eyes peeled for CGI ghosts. While the cast isn't totally confirmed yet, Feig spread the news himself via this very subtle tweet.
