Hillary in black & white: Amazing herstoric photos of candidate Clinton

They are photos like you’ve never Hillary Clinton before — or at least pictures you may have not seen in years. An historic … uh, we mean herstoric retrospective on what has brought the Democrat who wants to be America’s first woman president to this point.

The photos, taken from a new Clinton video called “Fighter,” show a teenage and college Hillary, the candiate’s work withMarian Wright Edelman’sChildrens Defense Fund before she married Bill Clinton, and her time as Arkansas First Lady.

They move to her time as America’s First Lady and her fight for universal health care and daring Beijing speech in which she bemoaned the killing of infants just because they are born girls, genital mutilation, and domestioc violence.

“If there is one message that echoes forth from this conference, let it be that human rights are women’s rights and women’s rights are human rights, once and for all,” she said.

There’s also a picture of her at Ground Zero, soon after the 9/11 attacks, when she was a U.S. senator from New York, a picture of her after losing in 2008 to Barack Obama and agreeing to become his first term secretary of state.

In New York City, on Saturday, June 13, on Roosevelt Island, Clinton is expected to invoke another First Lady many said could have been president: Eleanor Roosevelt, the wife of Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

The speech and rally will be streamed live on her Facebook pagestarting at 11 a.m. and CSPAN.org will also show it.
