Vegas likes the Mets Wednesday night. Not by much, but they like them nonetheless.

Betting on playoff baseball, game-by-game, is the ultimate crapshoot – especially in a wild card game in which all hands are on deck and each team is starting their ace. But still – Mets by 1.5, so says Vegas.

In the big picture, Bovada is giving the Mets 18/1 odds to win this year’s World Series. It is giving San Francisco 22/1 odds. By comparison, the Chicago Cubs are the favorites to win it all at 12/5.

First decision

Mets manager Terry Collins will have a key lineup decision to make Wednesday between Lucas Duda and James Loney at first base. Duda missed four months with a back injury and that rust showed on Sunday when he had two errors in one game. The powerful Duda has faced Giants starter Madison Bumgarner just once in his career, and he went hitless.

Loney is just 2-for-13 in his career against Bumgarner.

Moneyball

If you were going to get good prices on a Mets playoff ticket, last year was your year. Feeling the after-effect of their October 2015 run, tickets to the Mets – Giants Wild Card game Wednesday are averaging $300.

Checking StubHub on Tuesday afternoon – standing room only tickets at Citi Field were going for a cool $138.

“Delta Gold” tickets, which are just behind home plate – several rows up, were going for $5,000 each.
