Rejoice local Big Mac lovers and French fries fans! UberEATS is now offering McDonald’s delivery in the Boston area.
Beginning Monday, June 26, you can skip the drive-through and satisfy your fast food cravings using Uber’s popular app and online platform for delivering meals. A total of 16 Bay State McDonald’s restaurants are participating in the new venture, including locations such as downtown Boston, Brighton, Cambridge, Chelsea, East Boston, Everett and Roxbury.
“We are thrilled to work with UberEATS to provide a new level of convenience and personalization to our customers in Boston,” local McDonald’s owner Vijay Selhi said in a statement. “As part of McDonald’s ongoing evolution, we look forward to offering our customers more fun and innovative ways to enjoy their favorite menu items.”
Similar to its ride sharing program, Uber’s food app allows customers to order and track their meals, which are delivered by partners who bring the munchies right to people’s doorsteps for small booking fees. From Happy Meals to the new craft sandwich offerings, customers can order from pretty much the full McDonald’s menu. However, the fan-favorite soft serve cones won’t be available through UberEATS, which means you still have to stop by the Golden Arches to get your ice cream fix.
Boston is one of several U.S. markets that is rolling out the new venture following a successful pilot launch in Florida earlier in 2017.
“We’re thrilled to partner with McDonald’s to give fans in Boston easy access to their McDonald’s favorites at the tap of a button,” UberEATS general manager Cathy Zhou said in a statement. “Bostonians search for McDonald’s in the UberEATS app almost daily, so we’re excited to expand our reach and deliver what they’ve been craving.”
If getting McDonald’s delivered to your door wasn’t awesome enough, UberEATS is also offering $5 discounts on users’ first orders with the promotional code ORDERMCDS.
