Tom Brady’s wild summer continues with mountain biking, new book

Tom Brady

After winning five Super Bowl rings, it’s no surprise that Tom Brady would want to spend some time enjoying the warm weather. While he’s certainly having fun this summer, TB12 is also keeping himself pretty busy.

Following his foray into the culinary world, the Patriots superstar announced via his Instagram account on Thursday that he’s got another book in the works, “The TB12 Method: How to Achieve a Lifetime of Sustained Peak Performance.” Set to hit shelves in September, the 320-page guide is meant to be a “blueprint to better understanding how to maintain peak mental and physical fitness for the rest of your life.”

While Brady’s social media announcement sounded like something a motivational guru would post, we’re guessing it’s because he’s spent so much time recently with Tony Robbins.

I am excited to share this with you, the culmination of what I have been working on for the past 12 years of my career – something that I know can benefit ALL people regardless of age, athletic level, or stage of life. So many people ask me, “What do I do to maintain my motivation and commitment to my sport? How is it possible to keep playing football at 40 years old?” So for anyone who’s ever wondered why I feel better today than when I was 25, I’ve got something for you. Whether you’re a high school, college, or pro athlete, a coach, a farmer, an executive, a teacher, a doctor, a student, a parent, a graphic designer, ANYONE – I know the methods in this book can be a blueprint to better understanding how to maintain peak mental and physical fitness for the rest of your life. I call it the TB12 Method and it’s coming soon (not the actual book cover pictured)… Link to preorder in bio! @tb12sports

The book announcement comes shortly after the quarterback spent some time in Montana at the Yellowstone Club and Ski Resort with his top-tier boys at a self-proclaimed “summer camp.” His business manager Ben Rawitz chose the more nefarious title “gladiator camp,” which certainly rolls off the tongue.

Other best buds invited to the Big Sky Country adventure included teammates Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola as well as Gotham Chopra, filmmaker and son of Deepak Chopra. Childhood friend Kevin Brady, recipient of an email from Brady bashing Peyton Manning, also seemed to be in attendance.

Biking wasn’t the only outdoor activity at Yellowstone Club. In celebration of the Fourth of July, Brady shared a quick Boomerang video pointing at an American flag on top of a flagstick billowing in the wind. A New England Patriot has to be patriotic, after all.

Sometime in between Instagramming his dude retreat photos, Brady uploaded a picture of his mother Galynn in celebration of her birthday. The “most super mom a son could ever ask for” was wearing her son’s massive Super Bowl ring as well as a massive smile. Just recently completing her cancer treatments, 18 months after the original diagnosis, Mrs. Brady has grown a chic pixie cut and is reportedly feeling very well.

All this comes less than a month after Brady’s adventures in Asia, where he threw a few passes on China’s Great Wall and went toe-to-toe with sumo wrestlers in Japan. Hopefully, Brady won’t be too burned out when football season returns this fall.
