‘I Love Lucy Christmas Special’

CBS goes classic with this hourlong special from “I Love Lucy.” In it, Lucy, Ricky, Ethel and Fred put up some Christmas decorations together. Knowing Lucy, that will probably not happen without a few hitches along the way.

‘Elf’

This is probably the cutest Will Ferrell movie out there, but when we think about it, all we can think about is that disgusting breakfast he prepares for himself that’s basically every kind of sugar you can imagine. And like a champ, Ferrell does seem to ingest some of it in the scene. Can’t doubt that guy’s commitment to comedy.

‘How to Train your Dragon’

A clever script and impressive visuals make this one worth watching, but we’re pretty sure the real genius lies in the decision to make the titular dragon act like an adorable cat/dog. Everyone secretly wants a dragon for a pet, right?

‘Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives’

Honorable mention goes to this Food Network staple, one of the only episodes of new television airing on Christmas Eve. Catch up with your ol’ pal Guy Fieri as he visits restaurants that specialize in recipes handed down through the generations in an episode called ‘Memorable Moms.’
