A drone was caught hovering over the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Thursday morning.

The flying device was spotted near Central Park West and West77th Street over the high-profile event at about 10:30 a.m., according to published reports.

The operator was a 41-year-old, was given a summons to appear in court and charged with flying a drone, WABC reported.

He was with his 14-year-old son, who, according to the New York Post, lives with his mother in Florida and was in the city with his father who was visiting from Russia. Police “thought I was a terrorist,” he told The Post.

Authorities reportedly took away the drone but later returned it.
