Indians Yankees ALDS Game 4 highlights

A shocking New York Yankees comeback is almost complete.

Five different Yankees drove in at least one run in a 7-3 Game 4 ALDS victory over the Cleveland Indians on Monday night at Yankee Stadium.

With the series tied up at two games apiece, Wednesday night brings a winner-take-all Game 5 with a ticket to the ALCS and a date with the Houston Astros on the line.

Feeding off the dismal play of Indians third baseman Giovanny Urshela, who committed a pair of errors, the Yankees were able to put up five runs in the first three innings off Trevor Bauer and Mike Clevinger.

After shutting down the Yankees in Game 1, Bauer only lasted 1.2 innings on Monday night, allowing four runs, though none of them were earned after Urshela booted a hot shot to third with one out in the inning.

It opened the door for the Yankees to score all four of their runs with two outs after Starlin Castro struck out. That would’ve been the third out in the inning had Urshela made his play:

With Clevinger on the mound in the third, the Cleveland reliever looked to be on the cusp of getting out of a bases-loaded two-out jam. But Urshela was unable to make a routine play on a Brett Gardner grounder:

In the meantime, Luis Severino was solid with a lead. After a horrific outing in the Wild Card Game against the Minnesota Twins in which he lasted just one-third of an inning, Severino went seven strong innings, allowing three runs on four hits while striking out nine.

It was clear just how much the outing meant to him after his postseason debut last week:

While the Indians did scratch back three runs to make it a two-run game heading into the bottom of the fifth, a Gardner sacrifice fly and a solo home run from Gary Sanchez an inning later put things to bed for the Yankees.

Game 5 goes down on Wednesday night at 8:08 p.m. as Corey Kluber faces off against CC Sabathia.
