Step into the beauty of Barcelona’s floors

Most tourists who venture to the Gaudí House Museum and the La Sagrada Familia cathedral in Barcelona, Spainlook everywhere but down.

But as German photographer Sebastian Erras’ photographs prove, some of the city’s greatest treasures are the artistic floors, sitting right beneath our feet.

“Barcelona’s passion for lavish floors is so deep that even its streets are paved like a parlor,”Erras said.

The photographer collaborated with the Italian company Pixartprinting to build a graphic map of the city. Erras believes that the photo series, called Barcelona Floors, will help take viewers on a visual journey through some of the city’s less obvious gems.

Thirty-two places were visited by Erras during his stay in Barcelona. He snapped pictures of streets, hotels, palaces, churches mansions, artistic hotspots and even shops.
