Jennifer Lawrence is making bank, say Forbes’ annual estimated ranking of the celebrity salaries. The “X-Men” actress raked in $46 million pre-tax this year, $6 million shy of her number one spot last year, but who’s counting! The so-called paycheck is based on a hodgepodge of data from Nielson, IMDB and other industry sources, and includes Lawrence’s box office fee from the final “Hunger Games” installment and an upfront for her upcoming Chris Pratt sci-fi drama, “Passengers.” (She got a reported $20 million, while Pratt got $10 million. Sad!)
“Ghostbusters” star Melissa McCarthy gained traction from her number three spot last year, coming in second with $33 million. While Scarlett Johansson ($25 million) and Jennifer Aniston ($21 million) trailed in the third and fourth spots respectively. And the only actresses of color (Bollywood’s Deepika Padukone, $10 million, and China’s Fan Bingbing, $17 million) are notably absent from Hollywood cinema, which makes us feel a little bit dead inside.
